Casa Bridge-ette
Nestled within the serene embrace of one of Tehran’s last remaining Persian gardens, Casa Bridge-ette reimagines modern living through a seamless integration of nature and architectural innovation. This private residence, part of a larger compound, balances transparency and privacy through its glass façade and considered spatial planning.
Guests approach by crossing a tranquil entry pond on floating stone steps—an architectural gesture that establishes calm and an immediate dialogue between the natural and built environment.
At the heart of the home, a striking glass bridge hovers above a hydraulic pool whose retractable floor and split-level configuration allow it to transform for different uses, connecting the residence’s social and leisure zones.
The main level houses expansive living, dining, and kitchen areas anchored by a bespoke nine-ton kitchen island carved from solid stone. A two-meter cantilevered extension functions as both bar and dining surface, offering fluid adaptability for daily life and entertaining.
A mixed-material floating staircase of glass and stone descends to the lower level, where its sculptural landing transitions into a cantilevered counter supported by a thousand-year-old rock unearthed during construction—an expressive union of craft and context.
Below, the clubhouse level features a retractable pool, conversation pit, integrated bar, and skylit lounge. The grand overhead opening frames the centuries-old trees of the garden, drawing daylight deep into the subterranean interior.
Composed of two primary volumes—the living and kitchen wing and the private bedroom wing—Casa Bridge-ette is unified by its namesake glass bridge. A sculptural spiral stair links the bedroom level to a study and entertainment room below, with direct access to the poolside yard.
Through its material precision, fluid transitions, and deep respect for site, Casa Bridge-ette embodies the harmony of nature and design—an architectural narrative where movement, light, and craftsmanship converge.
